Zoo Atlanta

Us with the Willie B. statue
Myers driving the bus at the playground.

Today we took Myers to Zoo Atlanta for the first time. It was really chilly, and some of the animals were not out due to the cold weather, but we had a good time anyway. It was so cold, we had to stop at the gift shop to buy a blanket to cover Myers with. I had just cleaned out my car this morning and had taken the two blankets that were in the car into the house to wash! This is why cleaning out your car is a bad thing!!!
Myers liked all of the animals, but was fascinated by the elephants and the naked mole rats. We went ahead and got a membership to the zoo, so we will get to go many times over the next year. Hopefully, next time it will be warmer!

What a difference a year makes...

Yummy cake!
The birthday cake that his Aunt Ginny made for him.

I can't believe Myers is one!

This time last year George and I were at Northside Hospital with this tiny little bundle of a baby and now we have a little boy. We were looking at pictures a few days ago of him in the hospital and he has grown so much. At birth, Myers weighed 6 lbs. 7 oz and now he is 22 lbs 8 oz! What a big difference! He is walking, talking and has this great little personality. He is his own little person now.

I can't believe how much I love this little guy. If it is even possible, I love him more now than I did that first time I held him in my arms!

Happy Birthday Myers! I can't wait to see what this new year brings!

Resolutions

I have been thinking about my New Year's Resolutions today. I thought that if I wrote them in a public place, I would be more likely to follow through. So here they are:

1. To eat more healthy, exercise more frequently, and lose weight.
2. To read Myers at least one book a day.
3. To read the Bible more often.

So there they are!
